How do I interpret the numbers in the wind direction sensor results?

The units along the y-axis are degrees, just as one would see on a compass. The cardinal directions are 0º/360º (North), 90º (East), 180º (South), and 270º (West). In the example below from Kindly Octopus, on December 13, you see a wind direction of 220º, indicating that the wind that day was coming from 5 degrees South-Southwest.
